September 10, 2017
Hurricane Irma has just made landfall on the west-coast of Florida. Winds were strong enough to issue surge warnings throughout the state.
The remnants of Hurricane Irma are expected to enter the Ohio Valley region between Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) has been preparing for the likely flooding scenario that will affect western and central Pennsylvania.
Several states have already declared a state of emergency, and thousands of residents evacuated the coasts of Florida to be safe. You can watch The Weather Channel, or follow the National Hurricane Center online.
