Route 228 Massive Improvements

SEVEN FIELDS, Pa (Butler Dispatch) – Route 228 in the Seven Fields area may soon be widened up to six-lanes, according to PennDOT officials. On Thursday, several officials from the townships and PennDOT office met in Cranberry Township to discuss the updates on several roadwork projects, including the future plans for Route 228.

Next summer, PennDOT plans to complete the roundabout at Cox’s Corner. This cost over $5.5-million dollars to install, due to the new traffic patterns. To repave I-79 from Cranberry Township to Jackson Township cost over $16-million dollars.
