SAXONBURG, Pa. – An important update was released by the Pennsylvania State Police earlier today. Police say the victim, Donna Harbison Bachman, who lives in the 500-block of Saxonburg Road – passed away earlier today.
The coroner believes blunt force trauma from the initial impact killed Bachman. An autopsy will not be completed, but an alcohol and drug test will follow.
According to official reports, the police believe Bachman hit gravel on Saxonburg Road, and lost control. As she plummeted over the small hillside, they feel she flew airborne and possibly hit a nearby tree, before landing in the property of a nearby house.
911 callers stated she was unconscious and was not breathing. A medical helicopter overhead was cancelled as she was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a helmet.
