BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A 25-year-old was behind the wheel of the car that rolled into the side of Burger King early this morning. Joshua Space was driving his vehicle this morning, when he left the roadway and went airborne.

Bystanders told our crew and the police that Space was travelling north on Route 8 when his vehicle turned left, towards Burger King.

The vehicle left the roadway, began to roll. His vehicle barrel-rolled 3 times, before the front end gliding right about the grass lot next to Burger King.

His vehicle slid into the side of the building, knocking loose a garbage can that was cemented into the ground. The building received minor damage.

Before crews arrived, Space took off but came back to retrieve a pack of cigarettes in the car. He also fled a 2nd time, where police picked him up right down the roadway.

Space was injured, but was released from Butler Memorial Hospital shortly after. Space was not wearing a seat belt, but luckily escaped death.

It is unknown if Space will be facing any charges. The crash is still under investigation.
