Butler state police made 12 criminal arrests during DUI checkpoints

BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. – State police in Butler has reportedly made 12 total arrests during the weekend DUI checkpoints.

According to our sources, one of the checkpoints was established on Route 8, just north of the Starlight Drive-In.

State police made seven arrests for driving under the influence.

Troopers also made 5 criminal arrests, potentially outstanding warrants and such.

21 traffic citations were written along with 19 warnings given.

Police say they stopped 148 vehicles during the checkpoint(s).
