BUTLER CITY, Pa. – 68-year-old Joseph H. McKain got more than he bargained for when he led police on a pursuit yesterday morning through Butler.
Police say McKain was driving erratically in the early morning hours on Route 8 near Butler City. When police tried to stop him, he fled in a high-speed pursuit.
McKain’s car stopped abruptly in the area of North Jackson Street. He then refused to comply with the police officer’s orders to exit the pickup truck he was behind the wheel of.
When Mckain refused, two state troopers forcibly removed him.
McKain then resisted arrest multiple times. Troopers used a taser to get McKain to comply to the orders, and placed in hand cuffs.
According to court records, McKain said “he didn’t want to get another ticket”.
