Fire in Buffalo Township, PA

BUFFALO TWP, PA (Butler Dispatch – Several fire departments have been called into action at 11:40pm after a 911 call was recieved at 11:36pm for a possible structure fire at 290 North Pike Road in Buffalo Township. Most fire departments are currently about to go en route to the scene.

The 911 caller indicated to the call taker that smoke was pouring out of a white storage tank near a blue building at Hei-Way LLC, a paving firm located just south of Lernerville Speedway.

Emergency crews from Buffalo Township, Sarver, Saxonburg, Winfield, and Buffalo Township Police are involved with this incident.

**Update at 11:48pm – incident command has requested units to standby at their station as they believe it may be steam coming off of an asphalt storage tank. They currently are awaiting an emergency contact to arrive on-scene. **

**Update at 11:53pm – all units have been put back into service except for Buffalo Township as the crews still await the arrival of the emergency contact. **

**Update at 11:58pm – the emergency contact stated the asphalt storage tank was just venting off excessive steam, but there is no danger. All units are now in-service. **
