Butler, Pa – A family was forced out by raging flames Wednesday evening of their 105 Cleaveland Avenue home in Butler City.
Several fire departments responded to a report of a working house fire in the area of Cleaveland Avenue and Sixth Avenue. Primary and secondary searches were conducted while crews extinguished the flames.
Dark thick smoke hovered above the western half of Butler City and drivers could barely see due to thick smog-like smoke which overtook the area.
4 adults and at least 1 child are left without a home, and any donations can be directed towards the Butler CIty Fire Department.
Crews from Butler City, Veterans Affairs, and Butler Township assisted. In addition, Butler Ambulance Service along with the Butler City Police Department. It is unknown if state police have dispatched the fire marshall. The American Red Cross was called to assist with placement of the family.
