5-year-old nearly electrocuted in northern Butler County

ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A 5-year-old boy was rushed to Children’s Hospital via STAT MedEvac after authorities say, the child touched a farming electrical fence. The child passed out after he touched the fence, and 911 was called immediately.

On Parker Pike, the child was passed out but his heart was still beating. Emlenton EMS provided care while Parker VFD and Eau Claire VFD assisted. Eau Claire established a landing zone for STAT MedEvac 8.

The child’s mother flew with the child via STAT MedEvac. No condition was reported today by Children’s Hospital.

“Sorry I tased you” Police officer gives cake to firefighter

An Ohio police officer felt terrible after she accidentally shocked a firefighter. She felt she would make the situation better if she was to bring the firefighter a cake. Instead of a “sorry”, it came out “Sorry I tased you”.

The incident happened when the officer and firefighter was trying to subdue a combative patient. Her stun gun slipped from the patient and shocked the firefighter. A little sting, but the firefighter was fine.

The police officer works for the Hamilton Township Police Department, which is northeast of Cincinnati, OH.

Truck drives into Butler Township house

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A 2-vehicle crash sent a pickup truck flying into the side of a Butler Township house. The 911 call came into the center at around 4:18 PM. According to dispatch records, a 2 vehicle collision happened with no reported injuries.

According to reports, a pick up truck failed to stop at a stop sign. One of the pickup trucks swerved and slammed into the front of a house on Arch Street.

The nearest intersection is Arch Street at Cedar Road. Fortunately, no one was home at the time.

It is unknown if charges will be filed or not.

Driver charged in Butler Township crash

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A driver is being charged by the Butler Township Police after they say, the driver hit a bicyclist. The incident occurred on Meridian Road, near Deer Run Drive.

A bicyclist was making a left on to Deer Run Drive from Meridian Road, when a driver tried to pass the bicyclist and hit them. The bicyclist was taken to a nearby hospital.

Fire officials stated the bicyclist suffered injuries to their face, and legs. The female bicyclist was initially going to be flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital.

Fire destroys Middlesex Township garage

MIDDLESEX TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A garage was badly burned in a large fire that broke out shortly before 2:30 PM on Monday afternoon.

The garage, on Stage Coach Lane, required the usage of many fire departments. Some even from Allegheny County were called in to assist.

The homeowner gave Pittsburgh Media representatives permission to film on her property during firefighting efforts.

Landslide in Zelienople required Harmony fire crews

ZELIENOPLE, Pa. – A landslide occurred in Zelienople Borough shortly after 6:00 PM this evening after days of stormy weather.

The hillside gave out just north of East Northview Drive, and slid onto the railroad tracks below.

The tracks connect New Castle and Elwood City to Mars and Allison Park. These tracks supply industries throughout the region to transport raw materials, along with production equipment such as natural gas equipment to Mark West Energy.

Trains were halted in all directions. it is believed the railroad tracks will be closed for several hours as power wires are entangled.

Car crash send vehicle rolled over on I-79 during storm

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A vehicle has just rolled over on I-79, according to Butler County 911 call records. The call came into Butler County 911 at 3:29 PM – and the fire desk dispatched the call at 3:32 PM.

The 911 caller reported a vehicle has flipped over and rolled on to it’s side around the 83-mile-mark heading southbound, towards Pittsburgh. The 83-mile-marker is at the Evans City exit.

It is unknown if there are any injuries or life-threatening conditions. Fire and EMS are enroute with lights and sirens.

BREAKING: Patient heavily trapped in vehicle near railroad tracks

BRADY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A vehicle accident was called into Butler County 911 at 1:35 PM with reported injuries. Fire officials have confirmed a vehicle left the roadway, and went into nearby woods at a railroad crossing.

The incident occurred in the area of 210 Hallston Road, in Brady Township. Crews from Slippery Rock VFD, Slippery Rock EMS, and Butler Ambulance Service are currently on-scene.

The railroad company has been notified to close the railroad tracks at this time. Fire officials stated there is a patient conscious in the vehicle, but extrication will need to be completed.

1:58 PM Update: A medical helicopter was requested.

Local man killed in Prospect Road crash

PROSPECT, Pa. – One man was killed in a gruesome crash on Prospect Road, just south of Moraine State Park. Police say the crash happened around 2:40 am. Saturday morning on Route 528, just past English Oak Drive.

The driver, Jason Williams, lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree head-on. The crash was so violent, it killed his passenger, Brandon Lucas.

Nobody was wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Williams was rushed to AGH by LifeFlight for serious and life-threatening conditions. Police said the driver did cross both yellow lines while heading south, towards Prospect.
