Strike at Knoch in Butler, PA

A strike could be possible at the South Butler County School District because the teachers union rejected the latest fact finding report. If the teachers union would have accepted the report, there could have been major staff reductions and it could have put them behind years compared to the previous contract.

If all options fail to come to a deal, teachers would walk out the doors and leave students without a teacher The school board has high-hopes that they will come to an agreement, but are prepared to accept a work stoppage.

The school board did accept the report. Next week, both the union and board will review the report again and vote. If they are denied again, negotiations will have to take place or a strike may occur.  In 2015, a fact finding report was denied by the same union.
