Lake Arthur emergency flare

Emergency crews and park rangers raced to the area of Prospect Road late Sunday evening after someone reportedly shot an emergency “SOS” flare above Lake Arthur. The park rangers commonly relate “SOS” flares to a sinking boat or a boater emergency.

Crews from Prospect and Team 300 Water Rescue Team responded to the scene. Park rangers and Unionville VFD used boats to search around the lake, but nothing was found. The search was called off around 9:00pm according to scanner reports.

Since then, no one has been reported missing.
